Traffic Manager

This role will report to the Head of Brand & Communication.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, coordinating, workflow management, SOPs and on time delivery of projects in the Marketing department
  • Interfacing between marketing and the rest of the business to ensure marketing requests and assets are deployed quickly and according to scope.
  • Point of contact to receive and process requests, briefs and work requests into the Marketing Team.
  • Managing the creation & delivery of marketing assets from briefing to execution, including but not limited to:
    • Ensuring the completeness of all briefs submitted by the business requesting marketing assets: product launch campaigns, emails, daily deals, carousels, fly outs, promotions, sales, sound recordings, landing pages, promotional and branded items, etc and following up with designers & copywriters to ensure that those briefs get implemented in a timely fashion
    • Conducting quality control on the design team’s outputs including but not limited to data integrity and checks, spell checks, functionality tests and ensuring that all links work as intended.
    • Reviewing and coordinating final sign-off of all assets from all relevant project stakeholders
    • Ensuring the successful deployment of marketing assets.
  • The scheduling of daily newsletters, paid advertising, commercial projects in design studio and across the team
  • Operational, capacity and Management reporting weekly and monthly.
  • Managing projects and assigning tasks to resources and problem-solving any resource or scheduling conflicts.
  • Design studio resource capacity planning and reporting
  • Own and update SOPs and workflows in the division and across teams
  • Conduct and manage daily stand-ups with studio and marketing teams
  • Ensure that the Marketing Calendar is aligned and updated daily with Promo Team and Retail Marketing Channel Managers and Commercial teams and updated and communicated daily
  • Manage the sourcing, collection and delivery of branding and collateral for conferences, golf tournaments, etc
  • Proactively exploring new methodologies, systems and processes that enhance the flow of work through the Marketing team

Attributes required:

  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail, and a well-structured thought process
  • Ability to multi-task and to meet tight deadlines
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and experience of marshalling cross-departmental resources towards daily goals and objectives
  • Good numerical and analytical skills – adept at creating formulae, graphs etc.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 3-4 years experience in a marketing, operations or digital traffic management role and will have project management experience
  • A passion for retail and marketing is essential
  • Relevant tertiary education to support this role
  • Understanding of the digital process and ability to run projects according to basic digital traffic / project management processes and protocols
  • Experience working with project plans and project management tools
  • A high level of attention to detail and great organisational abilities are a prerequisite to succeeding in this role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Microsoft Excel experience essential
