Overview
This position is a key role in supervising the shift including Checker and Warehouse Operator (Pickers)
ensuring that the work allocated in the shift i.e. Day or Night is complete accurately and safely. This
position is a key role in our daily warehouse activities as its main objective is to ensure overall stock
integrity, printing of Delivery notes, COA’s and TREC cards. The incumbent must work safely in a
Chemical environment by following and ensuring that the Site rules are complied with and adherence
to the Omnia Core Beliefs, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
General Education
Matric / Related Diploma LEVEL 4
Experience
General Experience
Experience enables job holder to deal with the majority of situations and to advise others (Over 3 years to 6 years)
Managerial Experience
Experience of general supervision of more junior colleagues (7 to 12 months)
Duties
1. Accurate and efficient checking of picked loads (Both transfer and Sales orders) by; Ensuring that the loads are picked and loaded as per WMS system (AX Dynamics) with more focus on the stock age as per customer requirements.
2. Ensuring the highest integrity of stock as per ISO standards is maintained during loading. Identifying and correcting inaccurate pick errors. Recording and reporting of all picking inaccuracies and inefficiencies
3. Ensuring safe and high-quality environment for employees during the shift Loads are loaded on clean vehicles. Accurate preparation of documents for the customers and transporters
4. Perform high quality shift handover to ensure continuity across shifts in; Liaising with the loading teams to ensure accurate stock picked and tasks carried out successfully
5. Assist with stocktaking and daily cycle counts
6. Be Teamwork orientated helping where required Ad hoc duties as required by the Employer, Warehouse Controller or Manager Client satisfaction. Support the site in embedding customer service standards and to drive a focused culture of continuous customer improvements. Timeous response to Customer complaints and proper preventative measures implemented. Quality and Service reliability standards achieved.
7. Embrace continuous improvement and share ideas with peers and leadership, enabling a #better culture. Distribution of daily KPI reports. Driving the operation objectives set by Management. Ensuring warehousing delivers quality products and services. Delivering on Protea Chemical’s intent to have skilled and motivated people, thisis to be achieved through regular Employee engagements.
